We are currently recruiting for a National Technology Relationship Manager to be based within one hour’s commute of a National Control Centre.
The IT Directorate brings together corporate information and technology services for the Highways England. We aim to provide a high level of support and service to the business, to enable the organisation to deliver. Our responsibilities cover all aspects of information and technology.
Service Operations coordinate and carry out the activities and processes, required to deliver and manage services at agreed levels to business users and customers. Service Operations are also responsible for the ongoing management of the technology that is used to deliver and support services.
The Regional Technology Managers Team (RTRM) role is to support Operations on behalf of the Information and Technology Directorate in continually improving capability to deliver their operational functions.
To support Operations on behalf of the IT Directorate in continually improving capability to deliver their operational functions, developing ideas for exploiting and improving existing technology and supporting the National Control room Technology Coordinator in the consistent coordination and introduction of systems, ideas and improvements.
You will be responsible for ensuring the consistent application, development and introduction of technology solutions, sharing best practice and supporting nationally agreed decisions to support consistency and ensure best value for the business.
Support the RCC Operations Managers, NTOC Management and the senior leadership teams in both the IT Directorate and the operational environment in ensuring the development, maintenance and management of technology within the operational estate
To support and locally manage the implementation of nationally sponsored operationally related technology projects at a regional level, liaising with the National Control Room Technology Coordinator, Traffic Technology and RCCs to ensure projects are delivered in a way that is structured, consistent and fully considers the requirements of all stakeholders.
Provide a 24/7/365 on call support service to the operational estate to assist with the identification and escalation of faults impacting operational services.
Proficiency in a range of office software products to enable production / maintenance of a range of complex documents; spreadsheets and management reports.
A strong track record in delivering exceptional customer service.
Experience of incident management and working within a control room environment.
Live within one hour's commutable distance of Regional Control Centre.
Evidence of successful engagement with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Be able to work in a 24/7/365 on call roster.
