Job Description

The role

You will support the work of the asset development team in Area 8 in the development of regional network planning in line with development plans and KPIs, effectively engaging with our business partners and stakeholders to understand their requirements and to ensure integrated planning approach in the development and promotion of suitable interventions.

Day to day

  • Engage with business partners and stakeholders to understand and identify needs of the network and contribute to prioritising those needs;
  • Develop and promote suitable interventions;
  • Be responsive to issues raised and manage partners and stakeholders’ expectations;
  • Develop a greater understanding and knowledge of the network;
  • Ensure arising routine maintenance issues are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner;
  • Provide input into the asset management frameworks to identify future maintenance, renewal and enhancement needs.
  • Take on focal point duties for the region, as directed by the team leader.

About you

  • Experience necessary to deliver professional opinion in support of technical solutions.
  • Experience of Organisational delivery mechanisms for highway projects, renewals and the mechanisms that Local Authorities use to promote schemes.
  • Evidence of working successfully with internal and external stakeholder staffs.
  • Experience of engaging professional, technical and other partners to maximise delivery.
  • Evidence of effective people management skills.
